Throwing a Magical Summer Soirée

As an interior designer, planning a memorable summer soirée involves more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating an unforgettable experience. One of my favorite ways to do this is incorporate the many amazing local businesses we have in Central PA. Here are some party planning tips and a list of local businesses I recommend that will make any soirée magical!

Guest List and Invitations

Start by curating a guest list. Invite a comfortable number of people who can enjoy the space without feeling crowded. You can send elegant invitations via mail or use digital platforms like Evite. These custom invites are sure to set the tone for an unforgettable event!

Choose a Theme

Summer parties offer endless theme possibilities. Consider a French garden party, a luau, a poolside gathering, or even a picnic. Let your creativity flow! Use Pinterest and Instagram to gather inspiration for everything from food and drinks to décor and memorable playlists.

When planning your food and drink offerings, consider local vendors for the freshest ingredients. Don’t forget to design a signature cocktail that complements the theme + check the local wine section of your local liquor store to always support small businesses.

Pay attention to details that enhance the atmosphere. Fresh florals, candles and comfortable seating are essential. Create a Spotify playlist that complements your vibe; upbeat or mellow, whatever you choose sets the tone for fun!
